Toshiba Launch New Transmission Module for Energy Sensitive Appl
- By ingellen ・Published on March 25, 2013
March 25 News, Toshiba Corporation today announced that its TOSLINKTM fiber optic transmission equipment series adds something news: This fiber optic transmission module can receive and transmit signals from DC to 500kb/s with low power consumption by using all-plastic fiber (APF), the maximum transmission distance is up to 10 meters.
The newly developed high brightness LED makes the new products’ drive current lower than the existing products. Further, regardless of whether the module is during optical communication or not, the power consumption of the existing products are the same, while the new product is different, the circuit configuration can greatly reduce the power consumption in non-communication, so it is suitable for an energy-sensitive applications.
The new products will be introduced in two packages: Horizontal transceiver module TOTX1353 (F) and TORX1353 (F), sample of which will be launched by the end of March, with volume production in April; the vertical transceiver module TOTX1353 (V, F) and TORX1353 (V, F), the samples will be launched by the end of April, with volume production in May.
Control signal transmission such as wind and photovoltaic power generation system, control equipment, entertainment consoles and battery controller.
Transmission end, IF = 1.5mA; Receiving end, 1.5mA [communication] / 30μA [non-communication])
2 Data Rate: DC to 500 kb / s
3. Transmission distance: the use of all-plastic optical fiber, the farthest distance is up to 10 meters
4 Horizontal and vertical modules:
Horizontal: TOTX1353 (F) and TORX1353 (F)
Vertical: TOTX1353 (V, F) and TORX1353 (V, F)
5. Compatible with JIS F05 types of fiber optic connectors
6. Operating Temperature: -40 ° C to 85 ° C
7. Working voltage: 5 ± 0.25V
